September 2008 - Silent Knight Introduces Advanced Intelligent Analog-Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel New IFP-2000 designed for superior flexibility and reliability MAPLE GROVE, MN Silent Knight, part of Honeywell's (NYSE: HON) Life Safety Group, and a provider of industry-wide compatible fire alarm solutions for small to mid-sized institutions and commercial sites, announces its new IFP-2000 Scalable Intelligent Analog-Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP). Equipped with addressable archecture such as individual point identification, drift compensation and maintenance alert, the IFP-2000 enhances reliability, locates problem areas and reduces costly false alarms. Targeted at medium to large size customers, the IFP-2000 is designed for maximum flexibility and reliability. The IFP-2000 can be installed using existing fire system wiring and additional SLC loops using the 5815XL SLC expander to increase overall point capacity to a maximum of 636 points per panel. To satisfy even the most demanding applications, a complete array of IDP detectors and modules connect to the signaling line circuit. In addition, the IFP-2000 is a cost effective solution for retrofitting and is easily expandable for upgrading existing systems.The IFP-2000 is 9th Edition UL Listed and FM approved, and is the most advanced solution ever offered by Silent Knight. The system has the interconnection capability for up to 8 panels, and the networked system can either be configured to emulate one large virtual system or segmented into separate sites for multiple building applications. 9.0A of output power is available through all 8 on-board Flexput circuits that can be configured for auxiliary power, notification outputs or conventional smoke detector iputs (Class A or Class B). This upgraded, version 1.01, software package allows system engineers and specifiers to create custom fire alarm specifications for Silent Knight panels including the IFP-50, IFP-100, and IFP-1000 control panels, as well as the integrated voice evacuation versions of the IFP-100 and IFP-1000 control panels. The new 1.01 version allows selection of System Sensor’s IDP Series addressable devices and includes updated A/V data sheets and IDP series data sheets. The IFP-NetUL also features upgraded control capabilities that allow the IFP-NetUL to provide reset, and silence functions for IFP-1000, IFP-100, and IFP-50 fire control panels when installed in an Underwriters Laboratories compliant installation. The IFP-NetUL has a graphical display interface that allows users to auto-navigate and locate the device related to an alarm or event based on the priority of the event.
